Women who have small and/or asymmetrical breasts can choose to undergo a breast enhancement procedure at North Oakland Plastic Surgery with Richard Hainer, M.D., F.A.C.S. a highly qualified Detroit breast augmentation surgeon. When visiting our facility, you can anticipate the utmost in compassion and expertise from our staff; we offer the finest surgical care and service to all of our patients.

"We provide individualized patient treatment. This allows patients to be more involved and understand the complexity of their procedure."
– Dr. Hainer

Breast augmentation surgery ("augmentation mammaplasty") is a cosmetic plastic surgery procedure that is designed to enlarge the breasts and provide a more symmetrical appearance with the use of either saline or silicone gel breast implants. It is extremely important for patients to be fully informed on their surgery in order to make an educated decision. Therefore, during your consultation, all factors of your procedure are discussed in detail; Dr. Hainer will spend as much time with you as necessary in order to provide you with all information you need about breast augmentation.

Dr. Hainer inserts the implants through one of the following incision sites – around the nipple ("areola"), under the breast in the crease ("inframammary"), through the armpit ("axillary"), or through the belly button ("transumbilical breast augmentation or TUBA"). Each site has its advantages depending on the patient's anatomy and desired outcome. You will also discuss implant placement – above the breast muscle ("subglandular") or below the breast muscle ("submuscular"). Dr. Hainer will recommend the best location for your particular needs.

In addition, our Rochester, MI breast augmentation surgeon, Dr. Hainer, can perform breast enlargement through the tummy tuck ("abdominoplasty") incision that runs along the lower abdomen from hipbone to hipbone. This method, which is called transabdominoplasty breast augmentation (TABA), will leave no scarring on the breasts; both saline and silicone can be used. TABA is best suited for those who have little to no sagging in the breasts and do not require a breast lift procedure ("mastopexy"). You may also wish to request information on liposuction ("lipoplasty") to attain a better-contoured shape when combined with a breast augmentation procedure.

To see examples of Dr. Hainer's patient results, we invite you to view before and after breast augmentation photos. Also available, patient testimonials provide further insight of the impeccable care, individualized attention, and consistently excellent results provided at North Oakland Plastic Surgery.
